So, I've received the email saying available to download now and surprise surprise it's not yet available.

I wouldnt worry about the reply, I know it is probably Adobe, Apple or Loki's fault (anybody but the people responsible), but is it really that hard to have the thing ready BEFORE you email your customers to tell them it's ready?

Are you deliberately trying to piss off your loyal customers?

Sort out your iPad department, they are an omnishambles of epic proportions!

You insist on charging cover price for an iPad edition (pretty much the only major magazine to do so) and then continually offer shoddy service.

Getting seriously annoyed with your sub standard service and you are seriously testing my 20 years of loyalty.

I get an email from Total Film when their iPad edition is out, and guess what? I can download it to my iPad immediately. It's not rocket science.

Just want to let you know that you are not alone in this. I saw the print edition in my local shop and am still waiting on the IPad edition to appear. Quite frustrating all right. I have sent an email to Bauer for an update but am not sure how quick they are to respond

Well the Ipad release has been quite consistent for the last few month, always come out on Thursday late afternoon.

In fairness I got it this afternoon (Thursday). But having seeing the printed edition yesterday on the shelf it feels strange that it can be printed, shipped and delivered before the Digital edition can be uploaded :)

The fact that it has been consistent makes my first point even worse.

If you know it's not coming out until the afternoon, don't send an email out first thing in the morning saying it is available when it's not.

What e-mail are you referring to? We don't actually send e-mails when the new issue is available.

Hi James, I think neilreading is referring to the one sent out each month from news@e.empireonline.com. I got it on Thursday morning too advertising the new Ultimate Winter Preview edition etc. Says new mag out and download the iPad edition now.

Hi. Just to chip in, I also receive the same email newsletter as mentioned by the other posters. I have received this email regularly for years.

Must be something our subs department do. Presumably it's automatically sent out on the mag's official on-sale date.
