Gene Tieney was a stunningly beautiful woman and a fine actress, but I'd hardly call her a femme fatale. In those noirs that I've seen her in, she always played the good woman who was wronged, rather than the bad girl. My vote goes to Barbara Stanwyck, if for no other reason than her stunning performance in my all time favourite noir, Double Indemnity. Honourable mention to Ava Gardner who played a scheming, manipulative, treacherous bitch so well in The Killers.
