COMEDY SERIES

"The Big Bang Theory" (CBS)
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" (HBO)
"Girls" (HBO)
"Modern Family" (ABC)
"30 Rock" (NBC)
"Veep" (HBO)

Girls? Veep? I haven't seen them (and don't want to) Where the hell is Parks and Recreation, Community and Louie?

Should win - Modern Family
Will win - Modern Family

DRAMA SERIES

"Boardwalk Empire" (HBO)
"Breaking Bad" (AMC)
"Downton Abbey" (PBS)
"Game of Thrones" (HBO)
"Homeland" (Showtime)
"Mad Men" (AMC)

Downton Abbey Spartacus shafted AGAIN No Dexter, Walking Dead, Borgias or Supernatural?

Should win - Breaking Bad
Will win - Mad Men

Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan in "Dexter"
Hugh Bonneville as Robert, Earl of Grantham in "Downton Abbey"
Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody in "Homeland"
Jon Hamm as Don Draper in "Mad Men"

I wouldn't put Downton Abbey in there but I'm struggling to think of another lead actor to replace him. Maybe Andrew Lincoln in Walking Dead? They've got the right nominations in this category.

Should win - Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad)
Will win - John Hamm (Mad Men)

DRAMA ACTRESS

Glenn Close as Patty Hewes in "Damages"
Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley in "Downton Abbey"
Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick in "The Good Wife"

Jon Cryer as Alan Harper in "Two and a Half Men"

Jon Cryer can fuck off. Replace him with Joel McHale from Community.

Should win - Louis C.K. (Louie)
Will win - Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory)

COMEDY ACTRESS

Lena Dunham as Hannah Horvath in "Girls"
Melissa McCarthy as Molly Flynn in "Mike & Molly"
Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day in "New Girl"
Edie Falco as Jackie Peyton in "Nurse Jackie"
Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope in "Parks and Recreation"
Tina Fey as Liz Lemon in "30 Rock"
Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer in "Veep"

Should win - Amy Poehler (Parks and Rec)
Will win - Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep)

SUPPORTING COMEDY ACTOR

Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett in "Modern Family"

Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy in "Modern Family"
Eric Stonestreet as Cameron Tucker in "Modern Family"
Max Greenfield as Schmidt in "New Girl"
Bill Hader as various characters in "Saturday Night Live"

No Nick Offerman? It makes me sad that a guy from New Girl gets the nod over 'Ron F-----g Swanson'. Aziz Ansari from Parks and Rec should also be in there.

Should win - Ty Burrell (Modern Family)
Will win - Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family

SUPPORTING COMEDY ACTRESS

Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler in "The Big Bang Theory"
Kathryn Joosten as Karen McCluskey in "Desperate Housewives"

I don't care about this category

SUPPORTING COMEDY ACTRESS

Or this one. It'd be nice if Joosten won though.

SUPPORTING DRAMA ACTOR

Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman in "Breaking Bad"

SUPPORTING DRAMA ACTRESS

Anna Gunn as Skyler White in "Breaking Bad

That's who I want to win.

I'd argue that Tyrion was the lead character in Game of Thrones this year, but Dinklage can't help what category HBO put him up for I guess. Girls is very good. I think you might like it, if you like Louie. They should just give Aaron Paul all the awards though.

I feel a bit sorry for John Hamm. Nominated four times and lost every time. Can Bryan Cranston win his fourth Emmy in five years? Will Hamm finally win one? Will Buscemi cause an upset?

John Hamm will win it for the final year of Mad Men. There'll be no Breaking Bad then.

The best highlight would be Louis C.K's speech if he wins it.

It's a crying shame that Community got ignored, the ratings may not have been great but it's so much better than any other comedy nominated

I don't actually watch any TV shows or films before they're released on blu ray/dvd except for SNL. Based on your recommendation and a few clips I've seen on YouTube, it'll be in my collection when released. Can't be any worse than Veep. But yeah, Louie, Parks and Community are much bigger snubs.

So it's live in two days, anyone going to watch it? I don't usually, but definitely will be staying up this year.

It's more light hearted and fun than the Oscars. And this year it's hosted by the greatest talk show host ever and a very funny, witty and likeable man.

Unfortunately they don't even show the Oscars in the UK, let alone the Emmys. There's live streams available on the internet come the night.

Sky show the Oscars and that's in the UK, a lot of homes get Sky. And if you meant no free to air channel shows the Oscars, may I remind you that not all areas of the UK can get Freeview, either.

Also, a two hour highlight show of the Emmys were on Five* last year

Wow, certainly a good night for Homeland. I need to get around to buying it on blu ray and seeing what the fuss is about. John Cryer beating Louis C.K. lol. Aaron Paul , I'm also happy for Damian Lewis winning an Emmy (despite not having watched Homeland yet). The rest were predictable, such as Modern Family sweeping most comedy awards. Although I'm a fan, so I don't have that much of a problem with that. Good to see Jon Stewart pick one up for his show too.
