A quick glance at Wikipedia has refreshed my memory - I've seen parts 1, 2 and 4. I'll give 5 a go 'cos I'll watch owt set in Rio.

looking at Japan BO for previous entries for Superman/Star Trek/Wolverine it dosnt look very promising (11m/6m/9m) but they were all before 3D plus obviously MOS is a bigger deal than SR, Cumberbatch in Trek, Wolverine in Japan so should be way way bigger

surprisingly none have done well in Japan

Not really surprising - apart from Spider-Man superhero films don't tend to do well in Japan, and Star Trek has never done well there.

Well let's see if he's true to his word and starts making action movies like he used to, rather than family films.

Oh yes, those big bad action movies that were incredibly macho, really bloody and funny as hell... love to see the likes of those again...

Hmmm, box office doesnt relect quality-it like saying mc donalds sells the most burgers and celebrating it.
Quantity,fair enough.Kiddie films,fair enough.But they are what they are.
I do like when a decent film does well and people on forums like Box Office Mojo don't know what to say.

http://www.deadline.com/2013/10/carrie-begins-crowded-box-office-weekend-with-725k-late-shows-escape-plan-and-fifth-estate-also-opening/

and bad news for arnie, sly and '5th estate'.

bound to make it to 400m (like Prometheus) - maybe more

Escape Plan doing quite bad - not much better than Last Stand/Bullet to Head. if theyd made it in the mid 90s it wouldve been huge
