Alreet knowledgeable people!

So Firefox has been my browser choice for years now and I've never had any problems with it - however just within the past week I've not been able to view any Youtube clips whilst on Firefox. They all say 'An error has occured, please try again later.'

So then I switched to Chrome which was working fine, until last night when I searched for something on google and it opened up a new tab of it's own accord, with the results. When I clicked on the website I wanted it then opened up another new tab with the website in it.... So basically anytime I clicked on something within a window, it'd open up a new tab....

Does anybody know how I could rectify either of those problems so I can actually use one browser?!

Sometimes it just happens for a while then stops in my experience, but just in case you could check options and see what that's set to? Open links in window, in new tabs, etc - what's ticked.

Also, have you tried rolling back Firefox?

It might solve your problems with it. I'm using version 9.0.1 without a problem. The link to roll back is in Gram's post about half way down the page on that.

For firefox try Tools > Add Ons > Plugins then disable Shockwave Flash Player plugin and restart Firefox. Or try updating Flash to the latest version.

I tried UTB's suggestion and that appears to have worked for now - thanks.

Might have to try the other option if I get any more problems though.

Probably best as you might need it at some point. .For the Chrome issue it sounds like you have the Chrome toolbox installed which is a blue icon with a bit of orange. Somewhere in there should be the open to turn off the opening of links in new tabs.
