List the 10 films that you really want to see. Simple.

Here's mine:

1. Fantastic Planet (1973)
2. The Muppets (2011)
3. Nobody Knows (2004)
4. Millennium Actress (2001)
5. Cries and Whispers (1972)
6. Bananas (1971)
7. The Girl who Leapt Through Time (2008)
8. Ocean's Twelve & Ocean's Thirteen (2004 & 2007)
9. Mia and the Migoo (2011)
10. Suicide Kings (1997)

I wouldn't put too much excitement into Ocean's 12 or 13
I can't really think of 10 but mine are simply new releases such as Total Recall, Bourne Legacy, Skyfall, Man of Steel and Expendables 2.
In terms of an older film I've never seen Peckinpah's Cross of Iron.

Isn't that just getting a new release? Probably a better bet than trying to catch it on ITV4!

You don't mention they actually have to exist, so...

1. Alejandro Jodorowsky's Dune
2. Ghibli's The Little Prince
3. Zeppelin vs. Pterodactyls.
4. A Confederacy of Dunces (Starring John Belushi)
5. Akira Kurosawa's Masque of the Red Death
6. At the Mountains of Madness
7. Terrence Malick's Blood Meridian
8. Sam Peckinpah's Superman
9. Cronenberg's Island of Dr. Moreau
10. Scorsese's The Hawkline Monster

3 was going to be a Hammer film, you never saw the poster? But I would have loved them to get Ray Harryhausen in.
4. Harold Ramis was supposed to do it with Belushi, but I like the suggestion of Hal Ashby
6. Del Toro, as long as he didn't cast Cruise.

Harryhausen

You know, having heard it a couple of times lately I think it could only really be realised by showing pretty much nothing. That's so much more frightening?

Do you mean like film it from inside the zeppelin and have them as an unseen threat? Focus more on the reactions of the people to the attacks rather than old school special effects?

Bollocks - I deleted a line. I mean At the Mountains of Madness for the 2nd bit. Without that it sounds a bit odd!

When you said heard it a lot recently, I thought suddenly there'd been a lot of discussion about unmade Hammer films.

Although all this reminds me I have Outpost 2 to watch as well.

The only film I can think offhand that I'd love to see is Kinugasa's version of An Actor's Revenge.

4 years ago, almost to the day I posted this list on another thread.

Bad Taste
La Belle et la BÍte
The Birth Of A Nation
The Circus
Drugstore Cowboy
Gods and Generals
The Libertine
Our Hospitality
The Sound Of Music
The Unforgiven

Since then I've seen a whopping great 4 of them, so my new list probably looks like this.

1776
Alatriste
Bad Taste
Forgotten Silver
The Birth Of A Nation
The Circus
Meet the Feebles
Our Hospitality
The Sound Of Music
The Unforgiven

Not yet. Just started Underworld 4. I'm fairly certain Forgotten Silver's better but I have to finish one film before I move onto another

You know, just because they're on youtube doesn't make it any less illegal.

It's a little less illegal. Watching a film on YouTube is like smoking a little weed now and again (for medicinal purposes). Buying a hooky DVD from knock off Nigel at a car boot ? Well that's like injecting Smack into your eyeball, and downloading a torrent file is akin to selling crack to kids. Primary school kids outside a primary school whilst working as the lollipop man.

Two brilliant films. The Circus is my favourite silent comedy so if you make it the next film you watch I'll consider taking Final Repose off my favourite X Files episodes list.
