Not sure how many will care here or will give the slightest fuck, but what without a shadow of a doubt be Malta's most controversial and important politician in Malta, Dom Mintoff, died in his Tarxien residence. To give an idea what this might feel for Malta, imagine the death of Thatcher in the UK, albiet I'm surprisingly seeing less hatred and celebration aimed at this than I expected. The one who just did is gaining a lot of hatred for doing so.

I've never heard of him but his name sounds like a brand of luxury chocolate so I'm definitely a fan. RIP.

He actually banned some chocolate from being imported and sold in Malta when he was in government. No Cardbury Dairy Milk, Snickers or Twix...

Don't joke about this, the average Maltese still drunkily cries outside of his political/band club because of the scarring traumas left by Mintoff's banning of good chocolate.
