I remember this book in high school. I didn't like it that much but, it's a slow burn story. could be a promising film as long as they don't give it a "Disney" treatment but amp up the more edgy elements. Maguire is perfect for the part of the mysterious creepy scientist. Needs a better ending than the one in the book though.

Was made to read the book at school. Slow and miserable with only two characters, neither of whom I liked.

Nothing really happens until the climax, when one character walks off.
