This fourth entry in the dance series brings more-or-less the same: a few impressive dance sequences at the expense of an hour-and-a-half of cheese and cliché.

Its the dances not the plot that counts in these films - 13/8/2012 1:23:28 PM

Strange review that focuses so much on the plot but makes no mention of the dances!

It would be like discussing an Arnie movie’s themes and subtext without talking about the set pieces!

I saw this on the weekend and yes it is VERY predictable and yes the story is lightweight (and maybe a little outdated?) but the dance scenes (the real reason people go to watch these films) were very well staged and each were distinctive and stylish – also it made good use of 3D. If you liked the Step Up films this is a worthy sequel.
