Bedroom monkeys. I used to have loads when I was a teenager.

Carpet squirrels. Quite cute but getting rarer nowadays due to the price of laminate flooring coming down.

Bearded Chimney Muggins. Despite the name, they don't appear to have a beard, they don't live in chimneys, but they are closely related to the Muggin, although that is still disputed in some circles.

Yes, they are very closely related, although the Bass-Drum-luggin' Bug-eyed Muggin shares more of it's characteristics.


Another of my favourite weird creatures is the Olympic Frog. It only comes out of hibernation once every 4 years. Spectacularly beautiful, it attracts crowds of millions from all over the world.
However, the night before it goes underground again for another 4 years, you've about had enough of the fucker.

I decided to Wiki the Honey Badger to see what they make of it, and this bit stood out:

 Aren't HoneyBadgers just the right height to bite the average sized man in the gentleman parts when peeved (which as I understand is the usual state of a Honey Badger).

I watched a programme about Honey Badgers about 10 years ago, and it took a leopard nearly an hour to kill an elderly one-eyed female. Another one decided to take on a puff adder that crossed its path, and in the process of killing it got bitten on the face. It started eating it, then passed out from the venom. About half an hour later it woke up, shook itself and finished off its meal. Honey badgers are harder than a coffin nail.

I first heard of Honey Badger last year from a girl I met in SA - that (gentleman's region biting) was the first thing she told me they do! I didn't really believe her at first. Such a lovely name for such a ferocious little bugger!

Glass Frog - While their genaral color is green/lime green like most frogs. The abdominal side is transparent. The Internal organs, and gastrointestianl tract are visible through the skin. Pretty cool!

I quite like the star nosed mole too - easy to do an impression of using ya fingers

The Mantis Shrimp. Apparently it can move so fast through the water that it can create a g-force of 10,000G. enough to cause the water in front to boil. And if that wasn't amazing enough, its eyes can see UV, IR and polarised light, and the "punch" from its claws is powerful enough to break aquarium glass.

And it looks incredible!
