Horrendous photoshopping and airbrushing as usual - come back and save the art of movie posters, Drew Struzan et al! Sorry to be pedantic, but this one really bothers me as well. The name 'Leonardo Da Vinci' refers to the fact that he came from a town called Vinci, in Tuscany. His real full name was actually Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, which roughly translates as 'Leonardo, son of Sir [gentleman] Piero of Vinci'. In other words, Leonardo had no conventional surname, and it's totally wrong to refer to him as 'Da Vinci'. This of course is all Dan Brown's fault! For someone who apparently has a genuine passion for art, Dan - despite all his success - is guilty of perpetrating this shocking piece of ignorance to the point where it's infected popular culture. Sorry, I'll close the door on the way out...
