Little Devon town complaining about Costa coffee opening a shop there, to say nothing of the other 41 coffee shops already in business.

I used to work in a bakery a few summers ago, and as I've seen since there are 4 new bakeries in the area (area being less than 50 metres either way).

 Costa do a vanilla Latte that is absolutely incredible.

If the 41 other coffee places do good enough coffee for a better price they've got nothing to worry about.

However, this is totnes, so most of the coffee places will sell coffee made with water that has been cleansed with crystals, and it won't be actual coffee, but homeopathic coffee diluted to 100c and made with soy milk from fairtrade locally grown soy and you get a free chakra reading whilst you drink it.

I've said it before, but I'll repeat in case there are any of Greggs' board of directors reading the forum - they're missing one hell of a market by having zero presence in Northern Ireland!  Come on guys, we're not the heart-attack capital of Western Europe for nothing -we could even teach those scottish jessies a few things about fried food!

I'm with you on that one! Every time I go to visit friends in Glasgow one of my first stops has to be a Greggs for a fudge doughnut.

(A friend used similar logic to ask Krispy Kreme why they hadn't opened any stores in Scotland. )

 In my local shopping centre there are 3 McDonald's within about 100 metres of each other. There's also 2 Wetherspoon's directly opposite each other
