Holy batshit this is on

Not listened to Paul's Boutique in years (actually one of my treasured possessions is a 'Hey Ladies' 7" ). I canít remember the soundtrack to Submarine but the film was great, so the music should be I only have a 3cd Special box set and they are brilliant TBH. The rest not a clue. An interesting round and quite a mixed bag

If anyone is unfamiliar with mine, Iíll just say this, i know it's not going to win or even be liked by anyone I was pleasantly surprised by this album as i don't always swing to this genre, but i hope no one is put off by the idea of it without at least giving it a try, it as it is quite amazing. Just pop it on, do the house work and let it wash into your subconscious . It's hopefully going to be an experience at least

Strumming Music is available on Grooveshark and Spotify

Holy shit this exists!

Of those I've heard, The Specials are great and The Beastie Boys are good fun. I hope people like mine.

Worked my way through a couple-
Submarine EP-Really good, makes me want to get round to seeing the film

Paul's Boutique-As fun as ever, although there are stretches where it's not quite as good.

Strumming Music-Um, I, um...I really don't know. Musically, it's an interesting listen, but do I love it? Not really.

thought i'd have a wee shot

Alex Turner - Submarine - Great songs and a perfect compliment to the Film ( you really should get around to seeing it RS). It's lovely, intimate, stripped bare ( even the more 'beatier' poppy ones ) yet still full of warmth, as well as still retaining that nervous/excited young sense of endless longing, euphoria and of course that beautiful dollop of the bitter sweet. This is my first experience of Alex Turner as a solo artist ( never really listen to the AM's apart from the big songs on the radio) and you know what, i quite like his wee voice My only qualm is that it is too short, but saying that, it's just enough and maybe so it should be.

fave Tack: Struck on the Puzzle ( T4 )

The Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique -Still a great album, and full of fun, rowdiness, cheek and dope beats , a great debut and showed us what greatness was coming

Fave Tracks: Shake your Rump & Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun

. It's not that I thought it was bad, and I'm glad it was introduced to me since it's a genuinely interesting listen, I love how it starts simply and builds, for instance. I think impressive but cold best sums up my reaction.

I'll add Submarine to the bulging list of films to see.

Made a start. Submarine is as gorgeous and warm as ever. Paul's Boutique remains magnificent and is probably going to win. Dream Theater... mmm... I might have liked it if it had been a different album by a different band. And relistened to my own. It's not going to win, but I still think it's nice to have a comedy album in the mix.

I knew a guy at uni who loved Dream Theatre. He was a drummer though, so...

Listened to Nashville today.

Sorry Fritzl, but I really wasn't a fan. It was good, but just not my thing. Two tracks did stand out, though - I liked both Saturday and Life. And it is nice listening to someone you have never heard of before, but altogether not for me.

It's gorgeous - i really, really enjoyed every track (and it's made me want to watch the film even more).

Ah, that's a shame. I wasn't really expecting it to be incredibly popular tho.

I've listened to Submarine a few times times over the last few days. It's brill. Great choice, Paul. I'm sure I'll finally get around to seeing the film soon.
