thought i'd have a wee shot Alex Turner - Submarine - Great songs and a perfect compliment to the Film ( you really should get around to seeing it RS). It's lovely, intimate, stripped bare ( even the more 'beatier' poppy ones ) yet still full of warmth, as well as still retaining that nervous/excited young sense of endless longing, euphoria and of course that beautiful dollop of the bitter sweet. This is my first experience of Alex Turner as a solo artist ( never really listen to the AM's apart from the big songs on the radio) and you know what, i quite like his wee voice My only qualm is that it is too short, but saying that, it's just enough and maybe so it should be. fave Tack: Struck on the Puzzle ( T4 ) The Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique -Still a great album, and full of fun, rowdiness, cheek and dope beats , a great debut and showed us what greatness was coming Fave Tracks: Shake your Rump & Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun
