at the start of a movie you see the studio logo. on some movies they get altered slightly, a change of colour like on the matrix, or they become part of the movie, like the paramount logo at the start of the indiana jones movies or the universal logo in waterworld.
any favourites?

The 16-bit style intro of the Universal logo in Scott Pilgrim was the only part I liked in the movie

Superman Returns - the Williams theme coming in at the end of the 'As Time Goes By’ WB intro - in fact every time I hear the same intro attached to other WB movies i half expect to hear the Superman theme at the end..

also the lingering 'x' from Xmen 1-3 (dont think they bothered doing it for Origins and FC?)

The already mentioned Waterworld one is my favourite.

I was just about to mention that.

Serenity

Batman Forever

The Simpsons Movie

Watchmen

Deep Blue Sea

As mentioned above The Matrix

Special mention should go to the Harry Potter films.

I also like how Lionsgate have two separate logos, one for their regular films and one for their horror films.

I quite like simple ones like Mars Attacks where a wee spaceship flies behind the Warner Bros logo or Sunshine where the Fox Searchlight logo runs backwards or the Men In Black 2 one where the Columbia Lady uses her torch as a neuralizer on us .

I also like some of those already mentioned, although the Simpsons Movie has Ralph Wiggum singing the Fox fanfare, so clearly it is the best one ever

The lionsgate logo is currently my favourite logo. I didn't even notice the difference between the two, can't rememeber if I have any Lionsgate horror, will have to investigate.

I have that film and I haven't even noticed that. Wonder what the significance is? Or am I just being slow?

It runs backwards so we end at the mountains rather than start there and we zoom into the sun.

I remember when Sunshine came out I was still working as a projectionist, and the logo running backwards scared the crap out of me because I thought there was something wrong with the digital print.

At the time it never occurred to me that it was an intentional, and it really should have done because the soundtrack was running normally.

The Core:

You see the normal Paramount intro and then go inside the mountain.

X-Men:

The "X" in the 20th Century Fox logo keeps glowing while the other letters fade away.

Can't recall the exact film but a J-Horror remake (The Grudge?) saw the Columbia lady spookily grow long hair. Subtle but a nice effect.

The Indiana Jones ones that fade into the opening shot might not technically count, but I still love 'em.

That was for The Grudge 2- click and was the best thing about that film

And in the same vein, for the remake of The Ring- click

Thought of and found some more-

Alvin and the Chipmunks 2
The Cannonball Run
Superbad
Osmosis Jones
Ocean's Thirteen
Event Horizon
What Planet Are You From?

Kudos if you get that last one without reading the description underneath the video......

Not much point in continuing the thread then as they are all pretty much in there
