List of 250 sent. I deleted the the shortlist I was working from and as I was ordering the final list I managed to delete about 50 or so of the titles and couldn't remeber of all of the titles or their positions. As such I'm not as happy with the final list as I should be, but if I don't send it now I never will.

I'm sorry, you can't vote for 56 unless you actually are a Disney princess.

What's number 56? Is it Tangled?

Will get my list in ASAP.

Re earlier PMs, I've now gotten to 67 in the ordering. I'll try and finish it off tomorrow.

O/T - I'm at 192 for the 50s list so trying to order and cut now.

I may put The Cat Piano, La Maison en Petits Cubes and For No One all behind Tangled just to make you conflicted*.

All I can say is that for the first time I'm glad Swords doesn't post here these days. It would have made his top five.

Cute.

On the plus side, you can be fairly certain I won't vote for Tangled.

Is that because you think it's bad or because you've reached that certain age where you can remember every detail of a film you saw 70 years ago but can't remember one you watched last week?

Out of curiosity, after this finishes I was thinking of starting either a crime films poll or a teen/coming of age one (no, you can't vote for Traci Lords films. You know who you are) would anyone have a preference?

I watched it again when they showed it over Christmas. Double-billed it with Aladdin. Liked it more than Aladdin. Shows how much Aladdin annoyed me at Christmas.

The Wild Life, Mischief, Loose Screws... damn, I feel like having a marathon of craptastic 80s teen films now.

Do crime! I can vote for The Wrong Trousers!

Teen movies it is then.

If I did crime, it would be proper crime films. So no superhero films, no Wallace & Gromit, no Muppets Caper. Nothing where the crime is secondary to the other concerns. It has to be front and centre and the proper motivation for making the film.

Even if it's The Dark Knight, which is more of a crime movie with comic book characters in it than a comic book movie with crime in it?

(I believe there's enough good crime movies without including all of those things, but that one film does stick out as one that I would allow if it were me).

But Feathers McGraw is the greatest criminal in film history! How can you have a crime film list without him?

But that's exactly what it is. It's not like someone decided to make a crime film and just happened to decide the detective would have superhero qualities. It's the second entry in a franchise that was intended as a reboot of a previously popular franchise that had been existing for around 70 years as a superhero comic. The story is secondary to the fact that it's a Batman film.

Tell that to all of the people who insist it's not really a Batman film, and it's more like Heat.

No... really. PLEASE tell them that.

Because again, it's just one in a series of Wallace & Gromit adventures, a series that started with them flying to the moon. The popularity of the cartoon isn't because it's a crime cartoon, it's because Wallace & Gromit do battle with an evil Penguin. What I'm essentially trying to do is cut down on the possibility of all these genre lists featuring the same few films over and over again. I mean it's like if we did a war film and trying to claim Lord of the Rings.

Did you just tell Gimli she couldn't vote for Lord Of The Rings in something? Dear God, man! What are you thinking?

PS: Even if the "Crime" is listed as a genre for a film on IMDb?

There's loads of crimes on LOTR. Bodily harm and murder and whatnot. I want to include that too!

I am, of course, joking. Maybe,

Would Drunken Angel be eligible? If so you may proceed.

I will also be filling my list with plenty of Italian polizia thrillers.
