Generally Blu-ray covers are photoshopped garbage.

This takes the cake.

My memory must be going but I certainly don't remember Clear and Present Danger being a straight to video sci-fi action flick.

This is the US version....

Despite it being in the correct aspect-ratio it looks like a Uwe Boll film. UK version = wrong aspect ratio but much better cover. Can't win.

And what the fuck does "heavy metal goes medieval" mean? Awful. Awful.

Wow, now that is shit.

I remember back in the early 90s when the Bond films - up until LTK - were released on widescreen VHS for the first time, with the original poster-art on the front covers. They were awesome. If only they could do that now.

Passable picture, no extras, wonky sound and a crap cover. A pretty shoddy way to treat a magnificent film.

*waits for directorscut to chime in with his usual anti-universal schtick*

No contest for me, the UK cover is good but i got the US release. OAR wins over cover any and every day of the week!

You saying that reminds of Icon cropping Buried and 30 Days of Night (both scope films) for the DVD releases.

I mean, what the fuck?

Look, it's Bruce Willis. He's a cop. It's just like Die Hard. BUY ME!!!

In fact, I remember there was a sticker on the front that said 'for Die Hard fans only.' As in die hard fans, not Die Hard fans. Really desperate attempt to reclaim some of the budget.

It's no more than the film deserves, really.

Utterly horrendous piece of crap.

Is that supposed to be Bruce Willis or Homer Simpson?

Ghastly. Makes one of the best films ever made look like a crappy 60s TV-sitcom.

What the hell is that?

What was wrong with the awesome theatrical poster used for the DVD?

SAY NO TO PHOTOSHOPPED GARBAGE BY TWENTY YEAR OLDS FOR BLU-RAY COVER ART.

Good question, I can't see it

I agree with the one for The Apartment, though, that is horrible.

Can't say I've had the pleasure of seeing it, but the cover just reeks of both ineptitude and desperation.

Some more:

Tom Ewell looks like he's been surgically attached to Marilyn Monroe ala Homer and Mr. Burns.

Is that supposed to be Alec Baldwin?

So much bloody orange. Says nothing about the movie, expect Orson Welles is in it.

Who in the name of Christ is going to look at that cover and say "Yep, that's a film I'm going to watch"?

That's amazing, it looks like it's been touched up by someone using my great aunt's makeup bag
