I thought Rises did the more light hearted moments better than the previous two, but in particular I loved it when Bats rescues Selina and they have a brief chat on the roof. Something distracts Bats and when he turns back, she's gone..."So, that's what that feels like". I really loved that. After seeing it again, I think the Bane vs Batman fight may now be my favourite scene from all three movies. It is brilliant. It's been mentioned before but there are moments when it feels like Vader stalking Luke in Return Of The Jedi. Bane's dialogue is great and Hardy fucking nails it. People have said Bane isn't as much fun (in the sense of it being fun watching bad guys tear shit up on film) as Joker, but there are times during Rises that Hardy really nails Bane and really gets across a sense that Bane is having fun with what he's doing - his speech outside Blackgate "I return this city.....to you", cooly executing his henchmen and sending his body off after Gordon. Two examples where Hardy seems to inject something into Bane that isn't just intimidating, but adds a sense of character to the cold badass that Bane is. There are a number of other times too. Fave Bane moment? The gentle resting of his hand on Daggett's shoulder..."Do you feel...... in control?". Superb.
