Yeah you are right, but on the forum there is a clear favourite and thats one of the ones you were considering. If you didnt realise thats fine, but it did look like a trying to win nom. Which you are entitled to do

Quite. HOW DARE YOU CHOOSE A FILM THAT YOU THINK MIGHT WIN IN A COMPETITION IN WHICH THE INTENTION IS TO WIN. HOW VERY FUCKING DARE YOU.

I always choose films I think should win. Can't help it if you're a tasteless son-of-a-bitch.

I'm not exactly crazy for Forrest Gump but I wouldn't mind sitting through it again.

But Van Helsing? Fuck, I would rather lick Marmite from the arse crack of a dead tramp.

Brazil - Good, but I had hyped it up a little too much for myself on the first viewing, so I came away a little disappointed. The second viewing was pretty great.
Dead Man's Shoes - not seen
He Who Gets Slapped - One of my favorite silents
Jaws - a classic, obviously.
The Jungle Book - all right
Midnight Run - not seen
Peeping Tom - Only bad thing about Psycho is that it overshadows this gem
Psycho - see Jaws
Ran - not seen
Taxi Driver - see Psycho
Toy Story - Part of my favorite trilogy
Van Helsing - not seen

He Who Gets Slapped - overall, I preferred The Penalty but this was still good. Clowns are creepy as fuck, though.

What happened? Was it overtaken by something you thought even better, or did it go down in your estimation?

Overtaken by a few other films. However, it's still in my top 10 (though it moves up and down a bit).

Ah, cool. Yeah, that's how mine drop. Not because they drop in my estimation, but because something else overtakes it.

Psycho is just an amazing piece of work - the way Hitchcock has you in the palm of his hand and plays you from the first minute to the last is absolutely masterful.

It's also funny as fuck.

Psycho should win because it's the best film. Jaws should win because it has the best blurb.

The Jungle Book - amazing songs, great voicework but it's never been my favourite Disney and this rewatch hasn't really changed my mind on that.

Peeping Tom - with its vivid colouring and deliberate artifice, it has the creeping, prickly power of a particularly horrible nightmare. It's a sleazy, horrible experience - and I love it for that.
