TAKE NOTE MARVEL. Seriously, DC have put out their comic con offering, it's only right you oblige with some Iron Man 3 footage.

Now that is a good teaser trailer setting what is to a a year of pure excitement. I expect a better more detailed trainer on The Hobbit. But that was a good start. I can't wait for next year.

After seeing the wonder that was TDKR and Anne Hathaway's brilliant portral of Selina Kyle, I have been spoiled today.

Wow - exceeds all my expectations already. Beautiful music, great visuals, and both Costner's and Crowe's narrations are powerful, evocative and suitably inspiring. Love the glimpses of Clark as a boy, wearing a red coat around his neck like a cape - the shot of him balling his hands into fists at his hips, without showing his face, is genius.

Now, Superman Returns also had a kick-ass teaser, but even this briefer one was has eclipsed it for me ... simply put: very, very excited!

Zack Snyder is a great visual director and already the shots look great. The Lotr music works really well too and suggests this could be quite an emotional film. Oooohhhhh excitement :)

I know it's only the trailer but already we see clues to how great this is gonna look. Nice low angle shot of Clark as a boy wearing a red bit of cloth round his neck. Nice and de-saturated, this is gonna be sic!

Disappointing trailer but a nice 4 frame low angle shot of Clark as a kid with a red towel around his neck. Should be a good movie though.

Isn't that the score music from Lord of The Rings as the Fellowship run out of Moria just after Gandalf has fallen? Just saying.

Completely NOT what I was expecting. I was thinking hyper-stylised Watchmen-esque visuals, not some Man of Tomorrow's home movies. Pleasantly surprised.

Yeah I thought that, but then realised it was just washing on the line that gave it that...

Wow has Snyder tried to imitate Malick's style or what! I really like the look of it though since I'm a huge Malick fan. If the whole film is in that kind of tone, colour me excited.

I'm liking the look and tone. You can see Nolan has had a substantial impact on it.

It is. Trailer's normally borrow pieces from other film's. I remember the beautiful music for the Brokeback Mountain trailer, and when I watched the film that music was nowhere to be seen (or heard!). It's only later, when I was re-watching The Shawshank Redemption oneday and it hit home - they lifted the music for the trailer from Shawshank!

But I have to say the look of the film is terrific. Very sombre, and as someone else has pointed out - very Malickesque in tone.

Looking forward to it!

The trailer isn't really doing it for me, though the scene of young Clark with the red towel is nice (and the fact that Supes flies with his arms BEHIND him instead of in front is great) - but you almost can't go wrong with a Nolan/Snyder event.

This should be something special. On other sites, people are bitching over the choice of music, but it fits perfectly - the last 90 seconds of 'The Bridge Of Khazad Dum' by Howard Shore from Fellowship. Comic con trailer was better though. God knows why Warner didn't run with that...

More solemn, no smiles, pass the razor blades action from modern day film-making. Why? I go to the flicks to be entertained and this does not mean sitting motionless staring at a screen full of miserable people. Movies used to be fun.

This is such a brief teaser but it has got me excited.

I love Superman. Above all others, he is my favourite superhero from childhood and still now.

Obviously loved the Christopher Reeve era (I grew up on them) and I am one of the few to rate Returns quite highly. Even so, it was flawed and too in thrall to Reeve's films.

This looks like a new interpretation. Should sit nicely alongside the slighlty rebooted Superman of the comics Cannot wait.

Goosebumps.

I can't believe Jon Peters is still credited as an Executive Producer! Doubt he had any actual involvement, though. Perhaps that's the reason the producers credits are on screen for 1/4 of a second?

They played this last might before the dark knight rises started, didn't show much but looked good what I saw. Plus when Chris Nolans name is attached it can only be a good thing.
