Me want.

If it has the same extras as the region one dvd, my copy is a bit knackered.

EDIT: Oh, and it will be out next year which is the anniversary and it was first released in June in the US, so maybe then.

I like the border, has a sort of retro feel to it. That aside, super excited about this coming blu-ray! Have watched this SO MUCH over the years but still never gets old.

Zavvi have commented they that are looking into better packaging for steelbooks etc. That's their big problem at the moment, well that and actually posting the damn things.

Pre-ordered this earlier in the week.

This'll be a fun, seeing how Zavvi can screw up everyone's order/ deliver a load of damaged steelbooks

Got my steelbook today from Zavvi in mint condition! They were true to their word and are using new steelbook packaging. I am very pleased with this purchase, the steel is gorgeous. Movie looks as good as it could really, considering all the optical FX in it etc.

That looks way better than the US version, with the blu banner.
Still not going to get it though, I`m happy with my US 2 disc dvd digipack

Received my copy around release date and watched it this weekend. My only gripe with steelbooks / special editions like this is the bloody slip case - I like to have the info on special features, etc. to hand for future reference but, in the case of this BD, it's just a loose sheet of card which doesn't even fit inside the case. I'll just have to work my way up to binning the card.

They fit inside the case if you fold them in half. That's what I do...

I love the fact that they don`t print the extra`s etc. on the back and have a loose slipcase. Looks way better than to have it printed on the back...

Don't get me wrong - I like that they don't print it on the outside, it's just an inconvenience. I'll have to just fold the card like Mikey 6 suggests.

The simple solution would be for the card / paper to be produced to the perfect size to slot into the inside cover where the studios often pack a load of adverts, so becoming the sort of insert that you used to get with DVDs.

Anyway, back to the Blu Ray itself, and I enjoyed the film as much as I ever did. The picture seemed nice and crisp on the main feature. I haven't been able to check out the special features yet.

One thing the film brought home to me was how animation as an artform has become much "neater" over the last 25 years, no doubt due to the increasing use of computers, even for "cel" animation. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the point since the film is set in 1947, so the artwork was made to match the era.
