I can't see how they will have a climatic amazing season finale, I await to be proved wrong but I doubt it. Was the attack center where the public went to seek safety really the big event they supposedly had planned?

How far away were those folks neighbours?!?....and what a coincidence that the first car they see is the bad guys. This has reached '24' levels of stupidity

When is Claire going to learn that stabbing him there isn't going to kill him, or even wound him enough to slow him down for long!?!?

Whatsisface may as well have given his girlfriend the same 'kill me now, you can do it' speech that his boyfriend (I am shit with names on this show!) gave him!!! Most signposted death of the series or what...!

What do you think the 'I'm already dead' line was about? They dwelt on it far too long for it to be nothing?? Sixth Sense twist or something really dumb like this actually is Joe's book and he has been in prison the whole time...?

Despite some dodgy bits, the crying over the end credits was quite disturbing!!! I think her giving Joe the book earlier in the series was a red herring, but wouldn't be that surprised if the final twist was her being dug up and immediately stabbing someone...!

BTW I am firmly in the camp that thinks all these dodgy plot points are what make this show worth watching, not a reason for giving up on it!!!

Yeah the whole buried alive thing freaks me out a bit.
I like it too, I just watch it every week with increasing incredulity.....stab him in the neck Claire!

Yeah, I am first to admit I was suspicious of her at first but I have also said the 'giving the book to Joe' bit may be a red herring. I was sort of defending and accusing her at the same time

I love this because it's so preposterous. How did all those people stuff axes down their pants and get past all those cops? I'd love to know.

Could Bacon be in on it all afterall in mega shock twist? Or does he mean he's dead because he killed his father's killer and thus feels he's lost his soul?

If that was the big event then that was poo!

Still enjoying it for the sheer stupidity, and Purefoys acting!

I honestly have no idea what will happen in the finale, even 'It was all a dream!' is possible....

So recruiting militia, weapons training, sensory deprivation and all the living in a house chanting bullshit was preparation to go and stab some frightened grannies in a health centre? Fantastic vision Joe, aim for the stars.....

Glad Joe took the sensible precaution of locking the GLASS door when he put Claire on the boat.

Once again, where were the SWAT team when it was all going to shit inside the evacuation centre? I know they were told to guard the doors but they didn't do that very well considering some followers got away with Parker. And I'd have thought some communication to them when it was all going off would have made them come in and help.

Plus whose idea was an evacuation centre anyway? It's probably the dumbest idea to get loads of random people out on the road to a centre to gather together and not vet anyone. It's the perfect place for an attack. I mean who thought with a load of random followers who they can't identify about waiting to strike that a centre full of people would be a good thing???!!!

Hope that wasn't the big event - just a distarction for Joe to escape and there is something huge to happen in the finale. No idea where season 2 will go especially as the finale is called ' The Last Chapter '. Will Joe have to start a new book ?

And how stupid where the cops that turned up at the house - they seemed to know something was up - but should they not of recognized Emma & Jacob straight away ? There pictures have been on the news before haven't they in relation to Joey's kidnapping - or they should of been shown pictures of Joes known acomplices surely.

just looking at the above posts, and it sounds like me and the missus watching it. Why don't they do this? Why do they do that? I can't believ they've done this etc etc. We must pause it about 100 timers just to discuss the sheer stupidity of it all...........

........but I love it! It's so stupid, but fun and gory and grim, the buried alive thing at the end is horrific (I hate that thought, especially when he told her to "take short breaths" - uggh!)

So the big finalie, wasn't all that big.

I'm sure Joe will be back next season, because there have been stupider plot twists so far.
And once again despite being in the middle of a massive FBI operation Bacon is virtually the only person at the scene of the crime. Gifen how wonderfully daft the show was the big plot should have been, well, bigger.

other cult memebers must be a bit pissed off that they devoted thier lives to nothing more than getting revenge on the guy that boinked his wife.

If it wasn't for the fact that she was in the 'previously' bit at the start, I wouldn't have expected her to show up. She was introduced so late into the show and hardly did anything, I almost forgot about her to be honest.

By that point I thought they may be setting her up as next season's villain, but someone was obviously going to take a final stab at Ryan *BA-DUM TSCH*

Thank you, I'll be here all week, try the fish

erm, yeah, hopefully next season will actually be about, y'know, an army of serial killers maybe? Enjoyed it overall but was daft as a box of frogs.

Another frustratingly stupid episode. Two things stood out for me:

They found Parker dead and realised Iceman was supposed to be dead but Ryan still ran off on his own. Idiotic.

Ryan gets to the place and finds Emma there and puts his gun in the car at her command (always a mistake).

Yeaaaaaaaaaah, I was hoping he'd just shoot her in the face. He had to get to the lighthouse somehow, though, I guess.

A massive pile of meh, and of course this will get renewed endlessly while Hannibal will probably get cancelled.

Not that great a finale really - though i did like that ending with both of them getting stabbed. So if Joe really is dead i'm guessing season 2 will just be about his followers - but will it work without Joe leading them / James Purefoys great performance.

They could use a flashback device, different serial killers with scenes showing how he affected them.

But there is absolutely no way in a bazillion years with that ending that he is dead...!

No way is he dead, there will be some unbelievable 'twist' so that he survived. The glimpses you saw of him 'in the fire' he seemed remarkably calm despite the sounds of screaming. Not that you could see much anyway, I spent most of that sequence shouting "someone just switch on a light FFS", does no one have electricity or a decent maglite?

Disappointed Emma is not dead, somone needs to get stabby on her ass.
