Can we hope that this review will prevent total site meltdown before lunchtime?

Vey happy to see a great review and very much looking forward to seeing the film at the weekend

This is the final notch of excitement before I see it on Sunday, on the biggest IMAX screen in the world

I still reckon this thread's going to go mental - even if it is positive mentalness.

I don't trust these reviews- Batman Begins was rated 4-stars to start off with- but was clearly a 5 star movie (this later changed to 5-stars).

TDK was a tad over-rated. A 3.5/4 star movie at best.

As for the TDKR- I reckon this is s 4 star movie.

Heck, Empire rated Superman Returns 5 stars (a 2 star movie).

i agree with mysterious and matty b....most people could have done the same review as this, it told me nothing that i already didn't know or could have easily guessed after watching the first 2 films

Yeah matty b - always with the criticism!

If you wish to discuss Empire's writing, please go to the Empire online sub-forum. This thread will be for discussing the film The Dark Knight Rises.

I've worked out why it's pointless writing anything in these threads - most of the posters come from the main page and don't bother reading anything before their post and all they see is the last couple (and they don't actually know when they've been asked to do something by a Moderator as green doesn't show up there). I'm beginning to think they need to get rid of the comments box there and just add the link to the forum proper.

But that would be for the problems with the forum thread

It's like a review from the Melody Maker in the early 80's. Gives you an impression of what it's like but doesn't actually tell you anything about it. However in this case I'm quite glad as I dont want all the plot details revealed because you know, I want to go and enjoy the film, not sit there going to myself "oh yes, then next bit will be when blah blah blah happens, and she's/he's not really dead and she/he will be revealed as a friend/enemy soon etc etc."

I think the problem with the Reviews Threads is everything.

So the important question is...better or worse than the Godfather?

Rgirv, this isn't a play thread.

Mbembet - a bit of a non-sequitor, but if you could keep it to the film.

You'd enjoy these threads a lot more if you mocked them.

OT
And didn't have to read or moderate them.

I rarely bothered coming into this sub-forum before I had to.

What can I say, Nolan's cinematic vision has broken my mind.

When does this thing actually open? I should probably go and get it over and done with. Is it this week?
