Has this been done on here before?

The best album from your year of birth. Choose wisely, you only get one.

I'm lucky. I was born in 1979 and get to have this.................

Certainly the greatest punk album of all time. Probably the greatest rock album of all time. Maybe even the greatest album of all time. It is definitely top 10 and it was born in the same year as me. Nice.

I'm also 1979. It could've been The Wall, or Off the Wall, but it's gotta be this:

1970 was a year riddled with classics and I can't choose between..

I can't decide out of these three, there are plenty of great albums I haven't heard from this year too..

Nice to feel really old seeing PJ Harvey and Pearl Jam albums I can remember buying the day they came out.

Anyway, lots of choice for me, a year that saw releases from Bowie, Led Zep, Marvin Gaye, The Who, Frank Zappa, Stevie Wonder, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley (seriously, can you imagine how cool 1973 must have been?? ) the choice is tough, but it's a personal one, and an album and band who would have such a huge influence on all the music I would listen to about 20 years later, and still remain as relevant and brilliant as they were back then

1985 wasn't really a vintage year, probably this:

or this:

Meat Is Murder and Theatre Of Pain were decent too.

This song was the best thing about the year though

1991 was pretty awesome, no-one's even mentioned Use Your Illusion 1 and 2, Nevermind or The Black Album yet. Depressing how young you all are though,

It was a poor year but I'd have Spear of Destiny's World Service just edging R.E.M.'s Fables of the Reconstruction.

If I was born in 1985. But I wasn't.

Serious contender for my favourite band of all time.
Fred's voice isn't really "Comedy", the singing-narrative style is an interesting one but suits their earlier recordings perfectly.

And fuck Family Guy for forever ruining Rock Lobster.

Fuck it full stop actually.

Firstly, fuck me Swoz I thought you were older than that and secondly, one of my favourite albums of all time.
I still have a vinyl copy, bought on the first day of release (my parents were fans)
I spent most of my childhood years thinking the album was called High Fidelity (a bit like a mate of mine who thought Metallica's Black album was called Vertigo )
