A great soundtrack in my opinion with lots of different textures, emotions and layers mixing orchestral sounds with eerie computer built soundscapes. It's very different (and shouldn't be compared) to Jerry Goldsmith's excellent Alien Score. Though there is a nod to the great man's work on the track "Friend From The Past". I personally really enjoyed the different tangent they chose for Prometheus. It's nice to try something different and bold. The stand out tracks for me are "A Planet", "Going In", "Engineers", "Life", "Earth", "Dazed". Though the whole disc plays seamlessly between the different movements, making it a very interesting long listen that holds the listeners attention. (Late night voyages on London transport will never be the same again). Well done Marc Streitenfeld and all involved. This will be playing in my car on the long journeys for many years to come.
