Calling all poster-designing warlocks! We have another competition for you from the good people at Sony Pictures UK. To celebrate the release of The Amazing Spider-Man on July 3, the studio is calling on you to design your own Lizard/Dr Curt Connors. There's a whole bunch of goodies for the winner (see below) but the deadline is pressing (also see below), so get cracking...

Design your own Lizard / Dr. Curt Connors and win AMAZING The Amazing Spider-Man goodies. The Amazing Spider-Man hits the cinemas on July 3.   BRIEF:   Rhys Ifans transforms into a very convincing nine-foot lizard in the latest The Amazing Spider-Man, in cinemas July 3, but is he what you expected? Here, we give you a chance to submit your design of The Lizard and be entered into a draw to win some amazing prizes, including a limited edition The Amazing Spider-Man poster signed by the cast and crew, a print-out of your winning design and a Sony Tablet S. Go WEB Go!  THE SPECS:   The main poster should be the classic portrait or one-sheet.   ·         One-sheet, size 27 inches by 40 inches (686x1020mm) ·         Quad, size 30 inches by 40 inches (762x1020mm)   NB: Please upload a viewing version but keep a hi-res copy big enough to be printed full-sized.   CLOSING DATE: 12pm, Monday July 2

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: The film, which is now in production and is being shot entirely in 3D, will be released on July 3, 2012.  The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field.  The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. 
  PRIZE: The lucky winner will receive a Sony Tablet S, a limited-edition The Amazing Spider-Man poster and a print of the winning poster.

In case you were wondering whether to design a character poster for The Lizard or fan art, either is absolutely fine. Here's the official line:

"It’s whatever their desire really. Let spirits and creative juices flow. No discriminations will be made."

Hi,

For my design, i wanted to pay homage to the beginnings of Spider-man, so i pulled out my Amazing Spider-man #6 (The Lizard's very first appearance!)

I wanted my design to look like a modern day poster, but also stick closely to the original comic cover because that's a cool bit of history right there!

I can't wait to see this movie, and spider-man has always been a favorite of mine.

P.s I have uploaded 2 pictures, one of my poster, and the other a 'side by side' image to show you how i drew inspiration from Spiderman #6.

Thought I'd make him a bit more lizard than man in mine. Took me a while and I could keep trying to improve it forever but the deadline draws near. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it :) The other posts on here are great

Hey, this is my entry into the ' Design Your Own Lizard For The Amazing Spider-Man'. I thought I would go with the Spiderman's spinder chest logo used to create the face of Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard.
Its nice and abstract (enough). Great entries everybody :)
