Like Jacques says in Season 1 of The Simpsons, better than the act, better than the memory, is the anticipation.

So, what are you anticipating?

I can't wait to see my daughter today and give her her awesome gifts for her birthday. A mix of things she wants (Moshi Monster stuff...) and special things, like jewellery. Can't wait.

I'm anticipating an unpleasant conversation with a client this morning, a game of golf this afternoon and rain, fucking rain for the rest of the day.

In the short-term I'm anticipating tantrums, poop, and sleepless nights.

In the long-term I am anticipating being forced to eat a huge shit-sandwich over the next six months.

A horrible sweaty day at work. Having my name shouted at me over and over again. Putting the cigarette delivery away in this awful weather. Feeling exhausted because I haven't even left the house yet and I'm already struggling with the clammy weather.

Good day.

The day when Kristen Wiig realises she can't live without me, tracks me down and humps me senseless.

Oh, and The Dark Knight Rises.

I'm anticipating a very enjoyable July where I have 3 weeks off work to enjoy Wimbledon, then seeing The Dark Knight Rises in Imax, and a week later a Batman themed night out.

Are you at the hopping stage waiting outside to go?

I'm anticipating a really bad customer call at 4:30. At least that will be the end of my day after it.

Immediately, drinks with my sister tonight. Couple of weeks down the line, probably one of the best ideas I've ever heard for a 30th Birthday Party: Bouncy-oke = Big Field+Buckfast+Bouncy Castle+ Karaoke

Well I anticipated that wrong. Had a nice conversation with a client and the golf course was shut because of the hail. Had 2 windows taken out at work and a dent the size of a fist in the roof of my car.

How would he know?
