But that doesn't mean that there won't be some weird Na'vi ooga booga voodoo to explain why she's now the Tree Mother or Fairy Queen or whatever.

The first was torturous enough. If they improve the dialogue perhaps they might stand a chance of being worthwhile...

I REALLY hope for the sake of Avatar they have no humans in these films whatsoever. I guess I'm just desperate to see a film that no humans in as well so I can fully absorb into an alien universe.

I also really hope they ditch a love story and just focus on Sci-Fi things like war - perhaps the Na'Vi evolving with technology since there home was destroyed? Who knows.

Three films back to back seem a little over the top though. Thought Cameron would be rich enough after his Titanic re-release in 3D. *cough* greedy *cough*

Yeah. The same way Obi-Wan "died" in Star Wars. And since Avatar closely adheres to the same Joseph Campbell Hero With a Thousand Faces play book as Star Wars (downtrodden hero from the back of beyond realises his messianic destiny) that means Sigourney Weaver fills the same guru-guiding-the-hero-from-beyond-the-grave roll as Obi-Wan Kenobi did. This is subtly sort-of hinted at in Avatar. Clearly it will become more apparent/manifest in any sequels

(See also Dumbledore in Harry Potter and Morpheus in The Matrix. Although, in the interest of pedantic veracity, Morpheus doesn't die.)

No-one went to see Avatar for its sparkling and witty dialogue - this is James Cameron we're talking about here not bloomin' Dorothy Parker! They went to see something they had never seen before. And I don't mean Pocohoncats or Dances With Smurfs. I mean unparalleled cinematic spectacle on an epic scale which, like the man himself so modestly says, only about three other people in the world can deliver. And I seriously doubt any of them are to be found lurking online!

I for one think we got what we paid for. More please.

Yeah, no-one ever thought of doing sequels before Cameron came along. The man's clearly a charlatan. And he can't write!

Blimey at this rate they'll all be cashing in their pensions by the time the final one hits.

Please James move on to something Else. Like getting both The Abyss and True Lies out on Blu Ray.
