I always liked the one where he trains to be a coast guard swimmer. The Guardian, I think it was called

Yeah, I'd say The Butterfly Effect, too. Although it is sort of like choosing the best minger in the ugly shop.

Is it wrong to admit I guffawed when he has no arms in TBE? Not that he had no arms, just that it kept getting more and more ridiculous and he was terrible in it.

The Guardian is the least offensive thing I've seen him in, but then its mainly due to Costner.

Looking at the guy's filmography, I've only ever seen 2 of his movies. Butterfly Effect, which I thought was OK, and Killers which was watchable I guess. I remember him more for his TV stuff really.

I have not seen The Guardian and two people here have mentioned it so I may check it out.

Me neither, is that the one with Costner? He was also in Bobby apparently, anyone recommend that?

Hi

It is that one and it is a good film as well.

I found it (The Gardian) full of balony myself.
The film has no shame in being, not only a movie full of cliches, but also in being blindly obvious in its Army/Navy propaganda.
Full of blind American vitriolic "hell yeah!,we're the best"substance to it which generally leaves me reaching for the sick buckett.

I ,basically,didn't like it.

Easily the best thing he has been in is Bobby, but he isn't a lead in that really, since it is more of an ensemble cast. Bobby wasn't amazing, but it is worth a look. For dumb fun, can't go past Dude Where's My Car?, even if it is garbage, it is mildly entertaining garbage.

I have a slight soft spot for Dude Where's My Car, just because it's so bloody stupid.

I enjoyed The Guardian, although that was mainly for Costner.

Also, he's apparently been cast as Steve Jobs in a biopic

Like, what the actual fuck were they thinking?
