Yep, grounded in a world of perpetual sunsets where everyone goes out with a supermodel. Watch out Mike Leigh, Bay's gunning for ya!

... like the Dirty Dozen, where the Autobots and the Decepticons and a bunch of humans have to team up, go into space and f*ck up Unicron. They could bring in Hot Rod and the ending could be the birth of Rodimus Prime. That would be tekkers!

I get the impression Bay doesn't "direct" in the conventional since but rather his advisors watch him play with toys and from what they see they throw it into the movie.

Simple. They make money.
It's annoying, no matter how much I hear people slag it off people still go to watch it. I admit, I love the first film and think it has the right balance of everything to make it a decent blockbuster Sci-Fi film. However, it is definitely time to leave Earth, leave the humans and take the films into more of the civil war of these god damn transforming robots! They need to show us the history of how and why. Yes, I'm getting carried away because as much as Bay is good at making a movie that sells, the won't make a movie with depth or story.

Sigh, we can only hope when these films get rebooted that we will see some story that actual will connect us to the transforming characters.

Maybe Optimus Prime will actually fight Megatron again, rather than sideline him in favour of a bored celebrity cameo or some nonsensical Master and Apprentice plot.
