... well, it has to really, doesn't it? I can't see Carrey walking away because not enough people high-fived him in the parking lot.

Lack of studio support is one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard for dropping out of a movie. Sounds like Jim wasn't really interested and tried to blame someone else as his reason for dropping out.

Jeff Daniels has now said he won't do it without Carrey, so, for the time being at least, looks like D&D2 is pining for the fjords...

One of the greatest comedies of all time. I voted for it in Empire's 50 best comedies list.

It doesn't need a sequel, so I'm glad Carrey is out.
