Haven't seen this mentioned, but they've been counting down their top 100 songs per decade, from the 50s to the 90s and they've just published their top 100 of all time.

A perfect pop song. I picked up the magazine earlier to see the rest of the list. Some interesting choices, a few surprises too. Video Games, for example. Brilliant song, but it was around the top 30 already.

So according to that list Dizzee Rascal's Fix Up Look Sharp (at no. 9) is better than anything by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Blur, Metallica, Guns 'n' Roses, Black Sabbath or Nickelback?

My understanding of the word is that it's a term applied to someone who only likes relatively obscure bands, films and what-not, and then makes a point of it in order to look cool and trendy.

So I have no idea how Jackson 5 and Arctic Monkeys could appeal to a hipster.
