Afternoon! I generally try and sit through most of the end credits of films that I go to see out of respect for all those involved and/or to listen to particularly nice score arrangements that might feature etc; I generally only leave beforehand if time doesn't allow me to sit through them or righteous ushers turf me out. Anyway, one added benefit for staying through the credits that many early risers miss out on is the post-credit sequence. These often resolve a narrative thread that has arisen through the movie, or tease something that may happen in a future installment. Empire journalists and other film critics are in the privileged (depends on the movie, I suppose) position of being able to see the movie before most of the movie going public and, unless they hot-foot-it out of the cinema after the screen fades to black, they know if a movie has a post-credit sequence. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea if the magazine was to include a list of the movies coming out that particular month that feature a post-credit sequence. Perhaps this could be featured in a small column on a page of the magazine, or mention of it could be integrated into the reviews (maybe inside the box that features the director's name, main cast list, certificate etc). It would give the fleet-footed amongst us a warning to stay put lest they miss out. Opinions?
