Did Taken really need a sequel? What even happened at the end of the first one? I can't remember much about the film, but I did enjoy it.

Wasn't Taken essentially just a Chuck Norris film given a sense of legitimacy of having a decent actor in it?

I love how Taken turned Mr Schindler into Charles Bronson for the 21st Century. He was suddenly "badass" to American audiences and that's about as cool as you can get over there. Big Liam killed about 45 people in the first movie, I'm hoping that bodycount will at least double in the sequel. Maybe it will be like DIe Hard 2: Die Harder and be called Taken 2: Bad Assier.
