I was, kind of, wondering that today. After all the todo about porn mags on shelves, exactly how does that gel with the same shops pushing these at passing trade?

I think it's partly to do with the fact that these books don't have pictures?

It's also probably something to do with the fact that those magazines are aimed at men. For some reason, men looking at anything smutty are disgusting, but women reading Fifty Shades... is liberating.

Controlling who you see, who you're friends with and causing your partner to cry and freak out isn't romantic it's abuse. It most certainly isn't BDSM. If you want to read porn or bodice rippers fine be my guest read Anis Nin, Marquis de Sade or even some of the x rated Mills and Boon. You want to experiment with BDSM great fine read a decent informative book on it. But please do not read a book by a bored housewife whose idea of kink in her own bedroom is leaving the lights on, who wrote them as Twilight Fan Fiction. Then urge me to read it and tell me I'll fall in love with Christian Grey I won't!
