All the women (at least it seems like all of them) at my work are raving about these books and I've just read on facebook that one of my male colleagues has bought the first one "just to see what all the fuss is about" I really do despair.

I don't want to say anything to them because I'll just feel guilty afterwards, it's not really doing any harm is it?

OK, I calmed down after my FB rant were I spelled write as right

. The women on reception were whispering about it as I signed out to go for a hospital appointment. On the way home I had to go into Asda(s) to get some milk, bread and dishwasher tablets. I checked out the book section to see how much they were selling the Game of Thrones books for. I was only there a minute.

In that minute four middle aged women seperately walked over asking the assistant if they had 'that' book. By the time #4 asked I'd had enough. I stood up and a bit too loudly said 'for fucks sake' and stormed off.

This is getting to me more than it should.

This is also better written than Fifty Shades of Grey. Even with its poor grammer and high chance of spelling errors.

Was quite disturbed this morning when I went to work and the middle-aged women were asking me if I had done any of the things in The Fifty Shades of Grey book. Got very disturbed when one of the middle-aged women started talking about how wet it made her when reading it.

I had to abandon my Empire porn story when the mods got wind of it. It was about me being able to come through the screen of willing female posters and seduce them. Like a kind of 'let the right kilo in'. I was always a gentleman and milktray sales were set to esculate, but they said no because the technology was 'facile' and 'asanine'. This is part of the problem. People think that Shades resembles a real BDSM relationship, which is doesn't and pretty much every person I've met who has read it would have an aneurysm if they tried half the things in the book.

There's actually some well written, properly edited BDSM grumble out there but this is just awful.

This kind of reminds me of the random hype when The Da Vinci Code came out. People who do't normally read books raving about how good it was. People going on about it like it was the most influential literary masterpiece ever. To me it was a poorly written, cheap thriller(although boring as bat shit) with tiny chapters that made non-readers feel like they had accomplished something after reading three pages.
