Fisher is not the head of Third Echelon. Why would the head of secret government agency be sneaking around foreign military bases at night? Nor was the most recent game released in 2007. It was released in 2010.

Christian Bale would be perfect for this!

Eomer_king needs to get his facts straight before commenting on a well written article.

You suggest that the article states that the most recent game was released in 2007 and not 2010. READ IT AGAIN!!!! It does say 2010. I look forward to reading your correction and apology!!

I see William Peterson; with Ironside dubbing his voice.

I soooo hope they have IRONSIDE in the film as a commander or something. Was great to see him in T4 & X-MEN FIRST CLASS. but I really want SLY to get him in EXPENDABLES 3!

Well with Branagh attached to direct this could hopefully be the first decent video game to film adaption! Fingers crossed he stays on board and a decent Sam Fisher is cast. I'm thinking Jon Hamm would be perfect as the grizzled agent!

No, you mis-read it - Branagh is directing Jack Ryan, not Splinter Cell.

Whoops, serves me right for skim reading lol! Would be cool if Branagh was attached though. Oh well I guess it'll just turn out to be another crappy Hitman style game to movie adapt then!

They've fixed this since I posted. It would appear I was correct. I look forward to your apology, though I won't be holding my breath.

Without Remorse is an important part of the Jack Ryan universe, as it is the background to the wonderful character of John Kelly/Clark, and is one of the better Clancy novels.

Ironside definitely must have a cameo appearance in the film or maybe be part of the film crew. Hope they base it on Chaos theory, that was the best game of the series.
