Watched it on DVD from LoveFilm earlier this year, thought it was quite decent so bought it. Watching it on Channel 4 just now and I'm finding myself wondering "WTF?"

Actually, Brad Pitt's probably one of the least painful... but that's not saying much, considering the casting of Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas.

Kirsten Dunst is probably the best casting in the whole film. Shame she's not given a performance half as good since!

She really is. I also thought that Cruise was very good in Interview, along with Banderas, but Pitt always stuck out for me. He basically sulks for the entire film. Still love it anyway.

I liked The Devil's Rejects the first few times I saw it. Watched it recently and the acting, script and dialogue it pretty cringe inducing at times.

Wasn't Daywatch the 2nd and 3rd books stuck together? You are right about it being all over the place though. It has some visually great sequences but it's tone flits between dark fantasy, comedy, love story, insanity and back again! It feel like a much different film from Nightwatch.

Do like this scene though!

Watched cult film, The Keep as a youngster, but watched it many years later and was blown away at how awful it was.

trouble is a lot of classics are starting to look dated now, The Great Outdoors feels more like a TV movie these days. I think I cringe sometimes watching some scenes in the Police Academy series. (guilty pleasures)

Do like this scene though!

The two films together are the first book, Nightwatch. Nightwatch the film was based on Part 1 of the first book and Daywatch the film was loosely based on Part 2 and Part 3 of the first book.

I like both films a lot.

For some reason I thought Die Another Day was one of Brosnan's best performances in his career. I rewatched it a couple of weeks ago and it really is quite shit.

It is awful....but Brosnan is great for the first twenty minutes or so...once you get to Iceland it all goes to poop.

For me it's The Rock and Armageddon - quite enjoyed both on release; now they're just long and overbloated explosion-fests. Didn't help that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is now shown to be an egotistical asshole filmmaker.

Actually I think Taxi Driver got better for me on a re-watch, wasn't that keen on it the first time around.

The first Spiderman film is one that comes to mind. Used to love it but can't bring myself to watch it now. Second one is still awesome.

next you'll be saying you dont like con air on further viewing?!?. for me those Rock- bad boys- armageddon era movies were the last of the great FUN action movies, with the exception of Fast 5 and Expendables of course.

and with that.. I adored The fast and The furious (No.1) at the cinema, but it is quite poor now. must be since i got rid of my fiesta :)

Weird Sciene - It used to be my favourite of Hughes' films. Watched it a while ago with a friend who's a bit of a snob (particularly about comedy) and it was just painful! I could just feel him boiling inside and I was cringing at the truly abysmal humour!

Enjoyed Prometheus when i saw it at the cinema but on reflection,it didnt make much sense really and most of the characters were dull and badly written.I dont think il ever watch it again.

I was the same. For years I loved that film now like most of the women I have dated it has thrown water in my face in a crowded restaurant and stormed out leaving me slightly ashamed and regretful for ever having been there.
