Anyone think the UK is a mess and want to move out?

I noticed this last time I came back everyone is bloody miserable. Also I read this article (if you can call this turd of a thing an article - does anyone write as badly as Yahoo journalists? They make me want to kill myself and try and encourage suicide in others and not some nice suicide either, some sort of shotgun/thresher thing where they all leave really difficult to remove stains in the wood of the village hall)

http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/how-much-do-you-really-make-an-hour.html

The comment section I browsed, just reminded me of the horror of the UK tax system, the commercial nature of everything and the feeling of being ripped off every single day. What does everyone think. Did I get rather too excited with my two pieces of chicken at lunch and grab on and miss an old moldy bandwagon that was actually just in my head? Or have I touched a entrenched never of pain, like an ogre dentist who went to catering college? Or will things get better soon and it's just a little under funded road system bump that will sooth itself out when... well I don't know when but some day soon. Maybe after the Olympics?

Are you lot broken and beyond repair?

Yeah, just ask for Kilo's house when you get to the airport.

After just reading this in the Metro

Forecaster Simon Keeling said: ‘The final week of June is expected to see the whole of the UK affected by low pressure, potentially heavy rain and strong winds, with temperature suppressed.’

I may well invite myself over, got to be warmer and drier where you are Kilo??

If we had decent weather I'd be quite happy here!

When I saw the thread title, I didn't realise it would be full of depressing content.

There ARE places where things are better, but on the other hand there are also places where things are much much worse (for example I, frankly, can't believe that innocent men, women and children are still being massacred - Syria - in the 21st century).

The grass is always greener, etc...

Yeah, just ask for Kilo's house when you get to the airport.

Unless you want a marigold clad finger worming its way up your arse I wouldn't mention Kilos in airports.

It's still a great country but our politicians ain't half done their best over the years to fuck it up by allowing the markets to take over everything. It's really been a slow creeping privatisation of the UK since Thatcher came to power (aided and abetted by New Labour of course) and what this means is that big business, banks and corporations have taken a grip on our society. We are all consumers to be milked to the maximum and the public sector is now an evil to be cut down (despite the economic woes being caused by the private sector). Basically we're getting turned into the temple of capitalist insanity that is America.

Is that like Pee Wee's Playhouse? Because considering what Paul Reuben has been shown to be really like that would be one scary place.

Yeah I'm a bit sick of the UK.

Going to try and emigrate when the kids are a bit older.
