The Conversation bored the living hell out of me.

Primer zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

And dont even get me started on Once Upon A Time In The West.

Hot damn, man! I LOVE those movies! Ah, well, I guess it's a matter of opinion...

I will get absolutely torn to shreds for this, as it's a classic - and I know it's a classic; it's incredibly well-made - but I couldn't help it; I was bored to tears watching The Seventh Seal. Now to be fair, all I'd previously read about the movie was the chess game. So that's what I thought the whole thing would be about; almost in real time, this slow game of life or death. And I love chess too, so I was really looking forward to it...

Then of course there's only about 5 minutes of the chess game in the whole movie, and that story is just one of many in the structure of the film (and still by far the most interesting to me, if not the only interesting one). That and I'm not a very religious person so...yeah, that might explain a lot.

It's a beautifully photographed film, no doubt, and there are some truly unforgettable scenes and images, but I was still bored and disappointed. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. Maybe my opinion will change over time and I'll look at this post as an embarrassment, but that's what I think for the moment. And don't tell me that nobody could make a movie just about two guys playing chess!

(Just so you know, I'm not saying that The Seventh Seal is the most boring movie ever made; I just had to get this off my chest)

1. The Adventures of Tintin (Even though it's a Steven Spielberg film, I could not stand it when I saw it at the cinema).
2. Oblivion. I saw that at the cinema recently and thought it was the poorest film that Tom Cruise played in. I actually thought I was about to fall asleep during the film.

That is all I can think of for boring films.

I don't like to use the word 'boring' because a slow film can engross me as much as a fast film, and some of my most hated films i.e.Mamma Mia, annoyed rather than bored. I was though very bored by;

Lost In Translation
Bridesmaids
Some of the Harry Potters esp. Half-Blood Prince
Lincoln
Batman Begins/The Dark Knight
The Twilight Saga [yet I saw them all, go figure]
Halloween [remake]
Topaz [Hitchcock, how could you?]
Death Proof
Sin City

I cannot believe half of these you found boring!!!!!!
I know its a matter of opinion but The Dark Knight and Sin City are two of the most exciting movies ever made!!!!!

Although I have to agree with Bridesmaids and Half-Blood Prince
I didn't even finish Topaz

Think I agree more with the second half of the list than the first, but to include Sin City seems a bit harsh. I get why the Batman films might bore someone, but for me no.

I'm surprised the Clint Eastwood film

"J. Edgar"

isn't anywhere to be seen.

Doing the FBI entrance exam would be more thrilling than the 137 minutes I spent watching Leonardo DiCaprio's face melt.

Agreed! I have tried on numerous occassions to watch 2001 but on every attempt I have fallen asleep. I think I need to watch it straight after I've woken up to give me every chance of completing it.

La Dolce Vita was a chore for me, mainly because I pretty much hated all the characters except for the wannabe-typist girl - which I suppose was the point, but when the only character you care about has five minutes of screen time in a three-hour film, you're not going to have a very good time.

However, it does have one of the most beautiful endings I've ever seen.
