Unlikely to be of interest to anyone other than me, but just for the craic�

I stumbled across this the other day � http://www.deadline.com/2012/04/william-friedkin-takes-paramount-universal-to-court-over-%E2%80%98sorcerer%E2%80%99/

Presumably it explains the current delay with the release of the blu ray, having originally been promised as far back as January 2011 by Friedkin himself.

So, hopefully, once (/if) this odd little legal matter is sorted, Sorcerer will finally be getting a decent home video release and (again, hopefully) given the same treatment as The French Connection, The Exorcist and Cruising. My only worry/expectation now is that it�ll be an American only region A release�

Let's hope we get a decent blu-ray. Sorcerer deserves better than the crappy pan-and-scan Region 1 DVD.
