Its a pity this thread is limited to movie/game ships.  If it were open to any media, Iain M Banks' culture ships would walk it!  How about these apples?

GSV So Much For Subtlety
GCU Just Read The Instructions
dROU Frank Exchange of Views
I Blame My Mother (and its sister ship I Blame Your Mother)
GCU Big Sexy Beast
GCU Funny, It Worked Last Time...
VFP Resistance is Character Forming
GCU Just Another Victim Of The Ambient Morality

I was about to quote some Iain M Banks ships in this. I quite like

Lightly Seared On The Reality Grill
Fine Till You Came Along
Xenophobe
No More Mr Nice Guy

My vote goes to 'Prometheus'. I love the name especially when used as a call-sign by the characters in the movie.

Pitch Blacks the Hunter-Gratzner
Firefly's Serenity

I also agree with Matrix's Nebuchadnezzar, after all it sort off fit's the threads definition and by that virtue, may I also suggest Watchmen's Archie ?

Sharkboy and Spalds get in there first. Even if they're from books (some of the finest books of any genre written) they deserve a mention. And so I give you;

ROU You had hope once before remember

LSV Engendering a sense of Euphoria

GSV but will I still respect you in the morning

GCU We come in peace, shoot to kill

GSV Bag of pointy things

GSV My other degree is a good one

GCU Send in the Clowns
