What's the best name for a spaceship or, to avoid a debate about what constitutes a spaceship :P any kind of space-faring vessel - cargo, people, whatever - that you've seen in a film/game?

The Neberkenezer (and yes I know it's technically not in space, but it's still a ship, and it has an awesome name - does that count?)

Have to mention Serenity.

Icarus II is a cool name mainly for the balls it takes to call it that after a) what happened to Icarus and b) the fact that the first one failed it's mission.

What do you consider the finer things in life or your life?

Skyeward:...Sharks and Tits.

Its a pity this thread is limited to movie/game ships.  If it were open to any media, Iain M Banks' culture ships would walk it!  How about these apples?

GSV So Much For Subtlety
GCU Just Read The Instructions
dROU Frank Exchange of Views
I Blame My Mother (and its sister ship I Blame Your Mother)
GCU Big Sexy Beast
GCU Funny, It Worked Last Time...
VFP Resistance is Character Forming
GCU Just Another Victim Of The Ambient Morality

But since it is movies/games only, I'll go with Heart of Gold, mainly because I like Neil Young and Douglas Adams

There's some great ones in SF novels.

A couple more....
Battlestar Galactica
Gunstar from the Last Starfighter.

The worst name could well be United Planets Cruiser C-57D from Forbidden Planet, it deserved better.

Found this site, not the greatest names but top 75 ships according to someone.......some good photos...
