I've noticed on amazon that some films are being released separately when they come out on blu ray. Films such as the avengers, wrath of the titans and john carter are available to pre-order separately on 2d blu ray and 3d blu ray. I think this is an obvious attempt to force fans into buying twice if they want both versions which isnt right in my opinion. What does everyone think? Will you pay twice to get the 2 versions of a movie?

No because the 3d versions contain the 2d version which doesn't require a 3D player.

Edit: which means that those who feel 3D is the beginning of the apocalypse can buy the 2d separately for a lower price.

The only time it annoys me is when the 3D release gets the better artwork like Tintin.

I dont own a 3D tv but always buy the 3D releases of movies now. I will get a 3D tv at some point and am looking forward to finally watching a lot of these movies that way.

The only thing that bothers me is all this triple play stuff, I want the movie, I don't want to pay a premium to have all this extra versions. 3D? Who would even buy that.
