We did the cult list, but I mean a full on weird list, no worries about mainstream, or if something qualifies. One big list for weird cinema, and maybe expand it so it can include literature and stuff like this list. Combine horror, sci-fi, fantasy, general cult, all in one big poll.

I would be so in for that list.

Bad Taste - Bizarre but good. The sheep getting hit by the rocket put me and my friends in hysterics for about 10 minutes.
The New York Ripper- Found it on Youtube the other day, going to watch it eventually (I have 40 films on my Watch Later list)
Manhunter - Mann's second best film and the best Hannibal film
Edward Scissorhands in a horror poll? But anyway I like it a lot (and I have a massive crush on Winona Ryder)
Silent Hill 2 - Haven't played it in years, I really need to revisit soon
Treehouse Of Horror V - Obviously awesome
Scrooged - Another case of not seen it for ages

It would be fun, wouldn't it? Especially allowing games, music, literature, t.v., you could even vote for Dungeons & Dragons. If you want to be outed as a massive geek. I'll be voting for D&D.

Fritzl started one, but it failed because nobody seemed to know what to vote for.

As for the Scrooged > Muppets. I love The Muppets. You know that. But it has Michael Caine doing that dance. So it loses a lot of points. Scrooged has Bill motherfuckin Murray being awesome all the way through.

Absolutely, I'd even say send in lists of 150-200 so we have a reaaaaally big weird poll (if we're voting for games too I'd chucking in a vote for RapeLay). And D&D loses a vote from me because of the awful movies that have been made from it (Though there is an awesome Community episode of course)

The Eye - It's OK. Probably The Brothers Pang best film, but that's not saying much at all.

Manhunter - A little too cool and clinical for my liking, but Tom Noonan is a truly scary motherfucker in it. I like Silence of the Lambs better.

Edward Scissorhands - The ending makes me cry.

Critters - lol

Drag Me to Hell - A fun rollercoaster ride of a flick.

Sweeney Todd - A Tim Burton film in which Johnny Depp is a gothic, kooky outsider and Helena Bonham Carter is all crazy and dresses funny. Yawn.

My Bloody Valentine - I've only seen the remake. The remake had boobies in 3D.

Treehouse of Horror is wicked.

The Eye sucks.

Count Magnus is fantastic.

Scrooged is great. Muppets is better.

Drag Me to Hell - reasonably entertaining but then forgettable.

ED 3's the best of the lot. Frenzy's ace, really liked Devil's Rejects, Cape fear's great but the original is better, Monster Squad is diabolical.

Cool. Great film. Has anyone read Jeremy Dyson's new book yet, btw? It looks really interesting.

Regarding Angel Heart, you ever read the excellent book it was based on?

How the hell could that film traumatise anyone? Unless you were made to watch it with Leatherface standing over your shoulder.

The Devil Rejects - A wretched and misguided piece of rancid shit.

The Crow - The soundtrack's good.

Lifeforce - I quite like this. It's a bit mad.

Army of Darkness - Average.

Canon Alberic's Scrapbook - this scared me so much. Brilliant little story, but so scary.

Casting the Runes - very good.

Blink - brilliant.

The Empty Child - I voted for this one (not as big a fan of The Doctor Dances but sadly they had to go together). But The Empty Child is such a good horror episode. And I was really young when it aired so to me it's one of the first "scary" things I'd seen. I still can't rewatch it.

The Signalman - awesome (I think I forgot to vote for it though, damn).

Love the review for the Shining.

Return to Oz - really good.

A Christmas Carol - also really good.

There's some fascinating ordering in that list - really interesting to see the combination of different formats.

Appropos of nothing (other than seeing Ugetsu in the list) - Rawlinson, did I ever taunt you with seeing Sansho on the big screen at the beginning of this month?

Interesting, isn't it? At this point we're still in the 2/3 list area, so there's a lot of oddities coming through as a result.

John Dies at the End, Seven Psychopaths, Ernest and Celestine, Post Tenebras Lux, Alps, Robot and Frank, Argo, few others. I got the pass. Oh, and Quartet for 'im indoors who loved it (which was quite annoying given I'd to remove his audience voting form for him after Sansho to put it in at the proper 5)
