This has been in my top 20 movies since I first saw it all those years ago. It is frequently hilarious, has a top notch punk soundtrack, the afore mentioned ms Quigley dancing naked in the graveyard, but highlight for me was the way three of the characters debate and ultimately deal with a zombie locked in the freezer involving a pick axe and a hacksaw.

If you've never seen it and love zombies, your Friday night starts with this.

I used to watch this over and over when it first came out on video. Was thrilled to see it on SKY about 2 or 3 weeks ago, I'd forgotten how brilliant it was.
I admit to preferring Part 2, but the laughs, the gore, the mortuary attendants and Linnea Quigley's dance (another name that appeared in mid 80's copies of Fangoria and Gorezone on a monthly basis) is top quality and the humour, as with the other sequels, is spot on.

Haha I used to have a poster of Linnea Quigley in a bikini holding a chainsaw on my bedroom wall for ages. I got it from Fangoria.

Return Of The Living Dead
Excellent punk zombie film that adresses the genre in an original fashion, with fast zombies and a punk soundtrack.
It also has a lot of gore and humour in it.
If you want to see zombies done different you just have to see this brilliant piece of work. An hour and a half entertainment to the max.
The Arrow blu-ray by the way doesn`t exactly have the best picture quality: a lot of flickering and noise, but I really think this is more source related than transfer related. Therefor this probably is the best that this`ll ever look. Also having a LOT of extra`s to boost, this is must for genre fans.
