OK, my new, guaranteed never-previously-posted entry for this month:

Grey(joy) seas under blue skies

In case you're wondering about the title, it's the entrance to the harbour that was used as Lordsport on Pyke in Game of Thrones

Reb, I've added yours to the list and I've changed the title for yours Sharkboy...

...I would add a certain ASOIAF phrase, but I think you're a TV Speed only - wouldn't want to spoil it for you

Reb's one reminded me of this shot i took in Bern in 2008, it was a beautifully sunny day and kids were playing in the street fountain, but the pic makes it look like they're playing in the rain.

I'm a bit annoyed that i didn't enter it now!!!!

Cheers mate - love your flower pic too.  It fairly impressed my mrs as well

Agree with what you've said about Valanya's pic - I love how the cloud's shape is so bird-like, adding a whole new dimension to the shot.

Thanks guys, I'm really loving everyone's work in this round, honestly can pick a favourite at the moment!

I asked my boyfriend what I should title my shot and he said something about an eagle (meaning the cloud shape)... my response was "it's not an eagle, it's a seagull you idiot" I hadn't noticed the cloud shape before...

Yeah, such modesty - anyone else would be telling us how they sat for hours waiting for a bird to come in frame to get the desired shot!

Such a difficult choice this month!

1. The Cormorant by Hozay - if ever a photo met the brief...
2. Flower Fountain by hubu_phonk - beautiful shot, with a real feeling of delicacy.
3. Raindrops by Chief Wiggum - what can I say? I like macro! Excellent colours and crispness of image.

I have been deliberating that choice for ages now, and it has changed a few times but I'll stick with these three now

This is so hard.......

1. It's Raining, It's Pouring by Rebenectomy - I love the movement in this and I thought it was captured at just the right moment.
2. Go with the Flow by sanchia - love the movement again and symmetry in the water and the x's on the bridge.
3. Out of the Blue by Funkyrae - the colour , light and depth in this are amazing. I like the mysterious shapes at the bottom as well (scuba divers ? ). If you move back a bit from the screen this pic gets even better.

It was tough having to leave out a couple of other pics equally deserving. I've chosen three that I thought were not only eye - catching but also fitted the brief really well.

Just a great capture, love it.

The Cormorant by Hozay
Moody and perfect for the brief, it would have been the winner if it wasn't for the distracting boat on the horizon.

Where we're going we don't need roads by gingerdaniel
Not an amazing picture but good comedy, but GD if you'd entered the other shot that would have been hands down winner for me as it's the best picture on this thread.

Yeah, the other shot was fantastic and would have made a much stronger contender.  Not that the submitted shot was in any way bad, but the hydrant one just seemed to capture a mood and the composition was great.

Yep, it's a lovely shot, timeless somehow and could be any number of cities around the world. Would have been hard to beat.
