Heard it on a film programme on radio might've been Front Row or Kermode & Mayo can't remember which & sorry should've said the total mentioned was for the UK my bad . But looked it up & according to pofodder.com Toy Story3 & Kung Fu Panda were also out performed, so who's telling the truth because as we know the film companies wouldn't lie about a thing like this WOULD THEY??? Despicable Me was £14m of it's £20m in 3D (UK). Toy Story 3 was £55m of it's £74m in 3D. Kung Fu Panda 2 was a lot lower because 3D popularity has declined in family films since then, but still about 50/50. It's rare for a film to be worse than 50% 3D - I think Cars 2 was weighted towards 2D but that's because the 3D screens were busy with Transformers, Harry Potter and Captain America. I wouldn't trust Mr Kermode to give an unbiased view of anything to do with 3D.
