give me michele rodriguez and ellen page in a superhero costume and i'll order 50 copys of the blue ray today! and i think they would both fit their roles perfectly!

Hmm... of that list I can only see Wasp or She-Hulk making an appearance.

I'd prefer to see Wasp, but they've managed to build a universe where all the superheroes (bar Thor) have technological origins - super-serum, gamma ray, arc reactor. Bizarrely, it would be out of place to have actual superheroes appear in the films. For that reason I'd say She-Hulk is perhaps the most likely to show up, and your shout in Gina Carano isn't a bad one.

I'd still prefer to see Wasp, though... and I can see Carey Mulligan in the role.

If you have Wasp then you have to have Ant Man - and since there is already an Ant Man script out there and a movie possibly going to happen then I think Wasp is almost a dead certain - not sure about the rest of them - she-hulk is too much of a novelty and I don't think the average audience would be ready for that. Moondragon would be a great choice and Noomi Rapace would be perfect or Charlize Theron

Why is there never any love for Jessica Jones? A decidedly low-tech failed-superhero-turned-private-detective. She could be their Batman! As for the others, Wasp and Ms Marvel (or Captain Marvel, as she's called now) seem the most like shoo-ins. But I'd cast Amy Acker as Wasp - because I want Alan Tudyk as Ant-Man. (Usually, I'd be with you on the Fillion thing, but come on! Tudyk for Pym!)

Sarah Michelle Gellar would be a perfect Ms Marvel, it would also reunite Joss Whedon and Gellar, which we all want!!!!

I was loving the Nath Fillon as Pym thing too until I read Wash would be a good call......damn that is inspired.....Alan Tudyk is indeed necessary in every movie ever made!!!!!

I'd personally really like to see Scarlett Witch in an Avengers sequel, but it's worth pointing out that since 20th Century Fox currently own the rights to Xmen that it's unlikely to happen. That also means they probably can't write in any other mutant characters to an Avengers movie either! Boo! (Unless Marvel/Disney everything back of course!)

Hey, Deydalarozi, THEY COULD USE WANDA, there was a comment a while ago saying that both Marvel and Fox have the rights to Wanda and Quicksilver.

Have to say, the She-Hulk suggestions were REALLY disturbing. LOVE INTEREST? Ew. But I have to say, I thought they were going to intro Carol Danvers in Avengers when the nuke was launched. They lingered on the pilot for an unusually long time, thought they might at least have her name checked or something.

clarkkent - they're allowed to use Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch but Fox owns the rights to the concept of mutants and Magneto, so their origins and background would have to be altered or ignored if they're in the Avengers at any point

Moondragon could add a perfect alien counterpart to thanos and look amazing. Ms Marvel on the other hand could give the boys a run for their money when it comes to clout. The last thing we want is a weak M.Bay female!

Glad Gina Carano got mentioned - whoever the character is, they need to have some kind of physicality. Most female action stars weigh 100lbs and could be blown over by a stiff breeze *cough* Angelina Jolie *cough*. I like Ms Marvel and She-Hulk the best, but yeah they may be a bit too gimicky/comicky to put in unfortunately. Something a bit more mysterious might be better - as long as it's not Squirrel Girl - god, i'd poke my eyes out first haha

1. Whoever plays She-Hulk needs to do the motion-capture, as Mark Ruffalo did. Playing both roles is now mandatory!

2. She-Hulk isn't as strong as her cous but that doesn't mean she has to be "Hulk-lite". One can't just play the dual roles, but has to do more focused, non-ape destruction, unlike Ruffalo's Hulk. Everyone else would either be stunt-doubled or can't do anywhere remotely close to what Carano can.

3. Like the article says, Jen Walters must be strong. It would be best for a non-similarity of Bruce Banner's 'brilliant but demure scientist who changes to the beast' but a 'modern, CrossFit/weekend fight-club, can-get-what-she-wants, lady professional' who changes to a 'filter-less, taking-what-she-wants, uber-fem.

4. Carano's face already lends to a good transition to the CG She-Hulk as she is beautiful without having delicate features. (strong jaw line)

5. There absolutely must be a scene with Tony Stark getting caught by Banner/Hulk while checking out Gina's body and snarkingly saying, "Stark smash."

Just wondering why not Sif? She could be much more prominent in Thor 2 (would *not* like to see the fight between her and Jane, ouch), thus setting up for a great heroic redemption in Avengers 2... but that's just me!

Anna Torv is a very good actress, as anyone who has seen here play at least 4 different versions of the same character on Fringe can attest. She has the looks and could hold her own with the impressively heavyweight acting talent on show.

As said below, I really can't see any "mutants" being involved in the MCU unless, or until, Disney buys out Fox's X-Men rights, which I'm not sure Fox would agree to without a significant amount of cash.

What about Captain Marvel, she's a great character and adds some much needed 'colour' to the list up there.

The Wasp is my first choice for a female Avenger, since she was one of the original five Avengers in the story. If She-Hulk is added, the only logical choice is Joanie Laurer, who wrestled in the WWE as Chyna. Ms. Marvel isn't high on my list, but I agree that if she's included Sarah Michelle Gellar is the best choice to play her.

Considering Laurer a)has just played She Hulk in a porn parody of The Avengers movie released this month b)isn't relevant anymore and c) Marvel studios may just CGI the character as they've done with the Hulk I'd say she is a no no.

I am sorry but Sif was never an Avengers member and should only be included in movies that focus on either Thor, Asgard, or herself.

The She Huik should be part of Avengers sequel. I feel that she
shouid be done the same way Mark Ruffalo brought The Incredible
Hulik to life. Actress Julia Stiles is the perfect choice for Jennifer Walters and her powerful alter ego the She Huik. Plus she
has the voice for the character. Miss Stiles would fit right in with the rest of the cast perfectly.
