I think it's all to do with that old belief that women weren't meant to enjoy sex. So the vagina is seen as something shameful, and something that a woman should only share with her husband, and any woman who has sex outside of marriage is a whore. But with men, they were just being men. So a penis become a more common thing, but you're not supposed to see a vagina, so slang terms for it become seen as even more crude, and that kind of skewed morality has been hammered into us over a long time.

The woman who used to help my elderly neighbour when he went around mowing everyone's front lawns few years ago.

I say help, she never actually did anything except say to him "you need to do this bit, ok now this bit, now that bit" (he must have had the patience of Job not to run her over with the blades), and then help herself to half the money.

But that's not the biggest reason. No, the biggest reason why she qualifies is because of what happened in September 2007, a few days after my dad died.
We received lots of messages and cards of condolence from all the neighbours, but when we received hers all she'd done was buy a bog standard condolence card with a message printed inside it, put her signature underneath...



...and included a bill for mowing the lawn.

Now, I don't care what excuse people can come up with for that, but killing two birds with one stone like is simply not done (and wildly inappropriate under the circumstances).

I felt sorry for my neighbour, he was so embarrassed when he found out, and suffice to say he no longer requires her services.


I don't think that's 300 words though
