Well its that confrontational defensiveness that puts me right off her at the moment. I'm basing this opinion entirely on the Graham Norton interview from the other night by the way and Katy Perry on the other hand comes across as very open and much more fun.

If Katy Perry was a member of Girls Aloud she would be the best one.

They should totally reform with Katy P replacing Cheryl

I really dislke Cheryl. She comes across as being completely up her own backside.

With a total inability to sing - see Jubilee Concert duet with Sir Gary.

That anyone could have the front to watch that and not know how embarrasingly incompetent it was suggests a terrifying level of delusional self-belief.

Aw imagine that ! I would be there front and centre. Cheryl wouldn't be missed with the delectable Perry cutting about the stage. I hope Simon Cowel is reading this

Cheryl on Jonathan Ross. It is quite amazing she can even stand up straight what with the weight of the massive big chip on her shoulder.

Ginger girl aloud it is.

The gobby other one has turned up on cBeebies periodically reading a bedtime story for kids. Looked quite good dressed demurely and appropriately fro kids TV, so I'd probably vote for her.

I find it extremely weird how Cheryl is fetishized (sp?) by newspapers, gossip magazines and what-not.

You would be forgiven for thinking that she's the second coming of Christ.

I saw a bit of Wor Cheryl on Jonathan Ross the other night, and she looked like a barbie doll that had been brought to life. She has this absolutely tiny body, upon which is perched this massive heid. It looks kind of weird on telly, so I can't imagine how it must look in real life.

Kimberley. Easy.

Cheryl looks too much like Helena Bonham Carter's Red Queen and also comes across as quite a nasty person.

I saw it too. Was it in her contract that she must be referred to as the Nation's Sweetheart about fifty times? Also worst song ever, no vocal range at all and she even had to mime that (poorly).

Having said all of the above, Ross really is the poorest of interviewers, very lazy. Replacing any good lines of questioning with bon homie (which is kind of appealing) and a liking for self-deprecation.

Given what normally happens to the Nation's Sweethearts (Jade, Di...) if I was Cheryl I wouldn't feel too comfortable with that mantle. Babs Windsor is busy breathing a sigh of relief at a stay of execution.

What has she done to deserve that title, though?

She was in a manufactured pop band, had a successful solo career and was a judge on some shitty talent show. Big deal.

I've just seen that the one with the nice round booty is doing SCD this year. My wife likes to watch SCD so I may have to join her under fake duress.

It's not that weird, surely? You make someone famous enough, they become a self-perpetuating revenue stream for these magazines for a few years.

That's been my excuse since the year Kelly Brook and Alicia Dixon were on it.

Is she still in SCD? I caught a bit a couple of weeks ago when all the girls were on plugging that new single (buy it everyone, no-one wants Olly Murs at No 1) and remembered she was in it.
